My first arranging experience took place in junior high when I volunteered to take on a project for my chorus director transposing "One Tin Soldier" and making a few changes in the process. In the years that followed my graduation from the University of NE school of music, I began to take an interest in composing, starting small and, several years later, in the mid 90's, composing in earnest for publication. To date, I have seven solos which were originally published with Myklas Music Press, now with Alfred Publishing, one having just been newly released in an Alfred Publication entitled, "Myklas Contest Winners". I have also recently released a book and CD of eight contemporary piano solos in easy listening, jazz. pop and new age styles at a medium difficulty playing level. I have numerous other solos which I plan to produce in the coming months including a set of early advanced pieces in minor keys which are what I would call Comtemporary Romantic and some elementary and early intermediate student literature. I am also working on another collection to follow the new "Every Thought of You" set just released and have other varied pieces at a variety of levels which could become the start of several other collections including sacred/Christian and folk.
