Chris Taylor (pianist/composer) has worked extensively in the UK and around the world as a composer, chamber musician and soloist. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music he is in demand as a pianist and comopser and has worked with many renowned musicians. He created the music for Voicetruth and Invention Suite works for large choir and orchestra both of which premiered at the Royal Albert Hall, and Imagine a World, a full length music theatre piece performed at the Wimbledon Theatre. He composed the operas Uncle Remus which premiered at the Hackney Empire and Artscape which was performed at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, and created a commission for the London Philharmonic Orchestra which premiered at the Royal Festival Hall. Recently he was a winner of Greenwich Theatre's 'Ten Minute Musical Challenge' and in 2004 he co-wrote the music for the American Democratic Party's election campaign's promotional video, which was directed by Steven Spielberg. Chris has received many awards including a bursary from the PRS in 2009 for composition.
